(neuropsychological testing) is a covered service. Please ask also about any applicable deductible, copay, or coinsurance as well as the need for a referral or prior authorization. Any questions or concerns regarding the specifics of these benefits will be discussed with you prior to scheduling an appointment.
*Every patient who is having a neuropsycholgical assessment must have a referral from their primary care physician stating the need for the testing.
*Insurance companies have sometimes said they won't pay for a testing after it is completed, because there was no referral provided, even though they didn't require it before the test.
